A Google Lens search on the keyframes of the viral video led us to a YouTube post by @Jukinmedia, dated February 16, 2021, carrying the same footage with the caption, “Water Spills Out of Bathtub as it Shakes Rigorously During Earthquake in Japan”

The video was also shared by The Weather Channel, a prominent weather forecasting platform, in February 2021 to show the water spilling out of a bath tub during an earthquake in Japan.

A massive 7.3 magnitude earthquake reportedly struck off the coast of Fukushima prefecture in Japan in February 2021 at a depth of 60km (36 miles).
Notably, the same video was earlier falsely linked to an earthquake in the Philippines, and was debunked by Newschecker, in December 2023. The fact check can be seen here.
Hence, an old video has been falsely linked to the recent earthquake in Delhi.
