सोशल मीडिया पर भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश डी वाई चंद्रचूड़ की एक तस्वीर को शेयर कर कहा जा रहा है कि उन्होंने जनता से सरकार के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन करने की अपील की है.

भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश डी वाई चंद्रचूड़ द्वारा जनता से सरकार के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन करने की अपील के नाम पर शेयर किए जा रहे इस दावे की पड़ताल Newschecker द्वारा अंग्रेजी भाषा में की गई है. हमारी पड़ताल के अनुसार, 14 अगस्त, 2023 को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति जारी कर इस दावे को गलत बताया है. विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, “It has come to the notice of the Supreme Court of India that a social media post (invoking the public to protest against authorities) using a file photograph and falsely quoting the Chief Justice India is being circulated. The post is fake, ill-intended and mischievous. No such post has been issued by the Chief Justice of India nor has he authorised any such post. Appropriate action is being taken in this regard with the law enforcement authorities. (हिंदी अनुवाद: “यह सुप्रीम कोर्ट के संज्ञान में आया है कि लोगों को अधिकारियों के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन के लिए भड़काता हुआ एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट शेयर किया जा रहा है, जिसमे मुख्य न्यायाधीश की तस्वीर का इस्तेमाल कर उनके नाम पर एक झूठा वक्तव्य लिखा हुआ है. यह पोस्ट फेक, दुर्भावना से ग्रस्त और शरारत भरा है. मुख्य न्यायाधीश ने ऐसा कोई पोस्ट जारी नहीं किया है और ना ही उन्होंने किसी और को इसके इस्तेमाल के लिए अधिकृत किया है. इस संबंध में उचित कानूनी कार्रवाई की जा रही है.”)
इसके अतिरिक्त, India Today द्वारा 14 अगस्त, 2023 को प्रकाशित एक लेख के अनुसार सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सेक्रेटरी जनरल अतुल कुरहेकर और सॉलिसिटर जनरल तुषार मेहता ने भी इस दावे को गलत बताया है.
