31 ਮਾਰਚ, 2024 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨੋਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਦੀ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ‘ਚ ਨਿਊਜ਼ਚੈਕਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ । ਸਾਡੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ ਜੋ ਵਾਇਰਲ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜਨਵਰੀ 2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਈ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈਆਂ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਬੀਆਈ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਨੋਟ ਬੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਨੋਟ ਨਵੇਂ ਨੋਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਰਕੂਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਆਰਬੀਆਈ ਨੇ 25 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 2021 ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਟਵੀਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਚਲਨ ਵਿੱਚ 5, 10 ਅਤੇ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਨੋਟ ਬੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਜੁਲਾਈ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਰਾਣੀ ਕੀ ਵਾਵ’ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਛਾਪੇ ਗਏ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਨੋਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਰਬੀਆਈ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨੋਟ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਟੈਂਡਰ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਚਲਿਤ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।

ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਬੈਂਕ ਦੀ ਵੈਬਸਾਈਟ ‘ਤੇ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਨੋਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਿ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਨੋਟ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਟੈਂਡਰ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਚਲਿਤ ਹਨ।
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ RBI ਦੀ ਵੈੱਬਸਾਈਟ ਦੇ ਨੋਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨੋਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ।
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ ਕਿ 31 ਮਾਰਚ, 2024 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ‘ਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਗੁੰਮਰਾਹਕੁੰਨ ਹੈ। ਦਰਅਸਲ ਆਰਬੀਆਈ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਐਲਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
