Fact : કેમ્પસમાં માત્ર સર્વે કરવાની પરવાનગી આપવામાં આવી છે, કાર્બન ડેટિંગ રિપોર્ટ હોવાનો દાવો તદ્દન ભ્રામક છે.
જ્ઞાનવાપી મસ્જિદ અંગે સોશ્યલ મીડિયા પર અવાર-નવાર અનેક પોસ્ટ જોવા મળે છે. હાલમાં વારાણસી સ્થિત જ્ઞાનવાપી મસ્જિદનો મામલો કોર્ટમાં છે. આ બાબતને લઈને અલ્હાબાદ હાઈકોર્ટે મસ્જિદ પરિસરમાં કાર્બન ડેટિંગની મંજૂરી આપી હતી. આ ક્રમમાં સોશ્યલ મીડિયા યુઝર્સ દાવો કરી રહ્યા છે કે “કાર્બન ડેટિંગ રિપોર્ટ અનુસાર કાશી વિશ્વનાથ શિવલિંગ 8 હજાર વર્ષ જૂનું છે.”

કાર્બન ડેટિંગ રિપોર્ટ અનુસાર કાશી વિશ્વનાથ શિવલિંગ 8 હજાર વર્ષ જૂનું છે, અને અલ્હાબાદ હાઈકોર્ટે મસ્જિદ પરિસરમાં કાર્બન ડેટિંગની મંજૂરી આપી હોવા અંગે ગુગલ સર્ચ કરતા કેટલાક મીડિયા અહેવાલો જોવા મળે છે. રિપોર્ટ્સ અનુસાર, સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે આગામી સુનાવણી સુધી કાર્બન ડેટિંગના નિર્ણય પર રોક લગાવી દીધી હતી.
ઈકોનોમિક ટાઈમ્સની વેબસાઈટ પર 21 જુલાઈ 2023ના રોજ પ્રકાશિત એક અહેવાલ મુજબ વારાણસી કોર્ટે કાશી વિશ્વનાથ સંકુલના સર્વેનો આદેશ આપ્યો છે. જેમાં વજુ ટાંકી સિવાય જ્ઞાનવાપી મસ્જિદ પરિસરમાં ASIને સર્વે કરવાની પરવાનગી આપવામાં આવી છે.
આ ઉપરાંત, ન્યૂઝ એજન્સી ‘ANI‘ના સત્તાવાર ટ્વિટર હેન્ડલ પરથી 21 જુલાઈ, 2023ની તારીખની ટ્વિટ મળી આવી હતી. જેમાં જ્ઞાનવાપી કેસમાં હિન્દુ પક્ષના વકીલ સુભાષ નંદ ચતુર્વેદીએ મીડિયાને આપેલી બાઈટમાં કહ્યું છે કે, “જિલ્લા કોર્ટે વૈજ્ઞાનિક સર્વે કરવાનો આદેશ આપ્યો છે. હવે ASI તપાસ કરશે કે આ સ્ટ્રક્ચર કેટલું જૂનું છે અને આ મંદિર છે કે મસ્જિદ. જયારે કાર્બન ડેટિંગ અંગે પણ સવાલ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો, ત્યારે સુભાષ ચતુર્વેદીએ કહ્યું કે આ કાર્બન ડેટિંગનો મામલો નથી, આ માત્ર વૈજ્ઞાનિક પદ્ધતિથી તપાસનો વિષય છે. આ સિવાય અમને કાર્બન ડેટિંગ અંગે કોઈ અધિકૃત રિપોર્ટ મળ્યો નથી, જેમાં શિવલિંગની કાર્બન ડેટિંગની વાતનો ઉલ્લેખ થયો હોય.
તપાસ દરમિયાન, અમે જ્ઞાનવાપી મસ્જિદનું સંચાલન કરતી સંસ્થા અંજુમન ઈન્તેઝામિયા મસ્જિદના જોઈન્ટ સેક્રેટરી સૈયદ મોહમ્મદ યાસીનનો સંપર્ક કર્યો. તેણે આ દાવાને નકારી કાઢ્યો છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે કેમ્પસમાં માત્ર સર્વે કરવાની પરવાનગી આપવામાં આવી છે અને તેનો રિપોર્ટ આવવાનો બાકી છે.
આ ઉપરાંત અમે વ્યાસ પરિવારના શૈલેન્દ્ર કુમાર પાઠકનો પણ સંપર્ક કર્યો, જેઓ વર્ષોથી કાશી વિશ્વનાથ મંદિરમાં પૂજા અર્ચના કરે છે. તેમણે કહ્યું, “કાર્બન ડેટિંગના અહેવાલો પાયાવિહોણા છે.”
