सोशल मीडिया तथा मैसेजिंग ऐप्स पर यह दावा किया जा रहा है कि चुनाव आयोग ने कहा है कि अगर आपने वोट नहीं डाला तो आपके बैंक अकाउंट से 350 रुपए काटे जाएंगे.
Fact
चुनाव आयोग द्वारा वोट ना डालने पर बैंक अकाउंट से 350 रुपए काटे जाने के नाम पर शेयर किए जा रहे इस दावे की पड़ताल Newschecker द्वारा हिंदी, मराठी तथा पंजाबी भाषाओं में की चुकी है. हमारी पड़ताल के अनुसार, अखबार की यह वायरल कटिंग नवभारत टाइम्स द्वारा 21 मार्च, 2019 को होली के अवसर पर एक मजाकिया खबर के तौर पर प्रकाशित की गई थी. बाद में जब पाठक खबर को सही मानकर शेयर करने लगे, तब संस्था ने स्पष्टीकरण जारी कर इसे मजाकिया खबर बताते हुए भ्रम पैदा होने के लिए खेद व्यक्त किया था.
इसके अतिरक्त हमें चुनाव आयोग के प्रवक्ता द्वारा 21 नवंबर, 2021 को शेयर किया गया एक ट्वीट प्राप्त हुआ, जिसमें वायरल दावे को गलत बताया गया है.
इसके अतिरिक्त हमें PIB Fact Check द्वारा 30 नवंबर, 2020 तथा 15 सितंबर, 2023 को शेयर किए गए ट्वीट्स भी प्राप्त हुए, जिनमें वायरल दावे को गलत बताया गया है.
इस प्रकार हमारी पड़ताल में यह बात साफ हो जाती है कि चुनाव आयोग द्वारा वोट ना डालने पर बैंक अकाउंट से 350 रुपए काटे जाने के नाम पर शेयर किया जा रहा यह दावा गलत है. असल में अखबार की यह वायरल कटिंग नवभारत टाइम्स द्वारा 21 मार्च, 2019 को होली के अवसर पर एक मजाकिया खबर के तौर पर प्रकाशित की गई थी, जिसे पाठकों द्वारा सही मान लिए जाने पर संस्था ने स्पष्टीकरण जारी कर इसे महज एक मजाक बताया था.
