मार्च में नहीं बंद होंगे 5, 10 और 100 रुपये के पुराने नोट, RBI ने खबर को बताया फर्जी

कई न्यूज़ संस्थानों, सोशल मीडिया यूजर्स तथा शिव सेना के मुखपत्र सामना ने यह दावा किया है कि मार्च में 5, 10 और 100 रुपये के पुराने नोट बंद हो जायेंगे.

विमुद्रीकरण (Demonetization) या आसान शब्दों में कहे तो नोटबंदी, यह एक ऐसा शब्द है जिसे सुनते ही भारतीयों के मन में बैंकों के सामने लगी लंबी लाइनें तथा पेमेंट ऐप्स (Payment Apps) के प्रादुर्भाव का ख्याल आता है. 8 नवंबर 2016 को केंद्र की नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार ने नोटबंदी की घोषणा की थी। जिसके बाद देशवासियों ने बड़े संयम का परिचय देते हुए तमाम कठिनाइयों का सामना करने के बावजूद भी इस सरकारी फरमान का अनुपालन किया था. लेकिन क्या आम जनमानस एक बार फिर नोटबंदी के लिए तैयार है? हमारे पास इस सवाल का कोई डाटा आधारित जवाब नहीं है। अर्थव्यवस्था की बिगड़ी हालत और कोरोना जैसी वैश्विक महामारी नोटबंदी जैसे किसी आदेश की संभावना को क्षीण कर देते हैं. बहरहाल कई मीडिया और न्यूज़ संस्थानों, सोशल मीडिया यूजर्स तथा शिव सेना के मुखपत्र सामना ने यह दावा किया कि आगामी मार्च महीने में 5, 10 और 100 रुपये के पुराने नोट बंद हो जायेंगे.

Fact Check/Verification

वायरल दावे की पड़ताल के लिए हमने सबसे पहले कुछ कीवर्ड्स की सहायता से गूगल सर्च किया. जहां हमें कई ऐसे लेख प्राप्त हुए जो इस दावे को फर्जी बताते हैं.


इसके बाद हमें ZEE News  में प्रकाशित लेख के हवाले से यह जानकारी प्राप्त हुई कि कई संस्थानों ने दावा किया था कि RBI (Reserve Bank of India) के Assistant General Manager B Mahesh ने District Level Security Committee (DLSC) और District Level Currency Management Committee (DLMC) की एक बैठक में यह जानकारी दी थी कि आगामी मार्च-अप्रैल तक 5, 10 और 100 रुपये के पुराने नोट प्रचलन में नहीं रहेंगे. हालांकि Zee News ने अपने इसी लेख में RBI के हवाले से यह जानकारी दी है कि यह खबर पूरी तरह फर्जी है तथा रिज़र्व बैंक ऑफ़ इंडिया ने इस तरह की किसी भी संभावना से इंकार किया है.



इसके बाद हमें DNA, Free Press Journal, India.com, प्रभात खबर समेत कई न्यूज़ और मीडिया संस्थानों द्वारा प्रकाशित लेख भी प्राप्त हुए. गौरतलब है कि उपरोक्त सभी संस्थानों ने इस खबर को फर्जी बताया है.  


इसके बाद हमें PIB की फैक्ट चेकिंग विंग PIB Fact Check द्वारा किया गया एक ट्वीट भी प्राप्त हुआ जिसमें मार्च-अप्रैल तक 5, 10 और 100 रुपये के पुराने नोट बंद होने की इस खबर को फर्जी बताया गया है.


इसके बाद हमने इस तरह की किसी भी घोषणा की जानकारी के लिए RBI की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट का रुख किया। लेकिन हमें वहां इस तरह की कोई घोषणा या नोटिस नहीं प्राप्त हुई.

Conclusion

इस तरह हमारी पड़ताल में यह बात साफ हो जाती है कि कई मीडिया संस्थानों, सोशल मीडिया यूजर्स तथा शिव सेना के मुखपत्र सामना द्वारा किया गया दावा फर्जी है.
