5 जुलाई को निर्मला सीतारमण ने सत्र 2018-19 के लिए संसद में बजट पेश किया था। बजट पेश होने के बाद से ही उन्ही का दिया गया एक बयान सोशल मीडिया पर गलत दावों के साथ वायरल किया गया। दावे के साथ ‘CNBC आवाज’ न्यूज़ चैनल के स्क्रीनशॉट के टिकर पर लिखा है 35000 करोड़ LED बल्ब बांटे गए ।

क्या वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमन ने सही में ऐसा कहा था या नहीं? इसके लिए हमने उनका पूरा भाषण सुना जिसमे हमे 1:06:50 पर LED बल्ब पर दिया बयान सुना जा सकता है, जहां उन्होंने 35000 करोड़ नहीं बल्कि 35 करोड़ LED बल्ब बांटने की बात कही थी।
हमने भारत सरकार के आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर बजट का पूरा भाषण पड़ा जहाँ हमे भाषण के 74वे बिंदु पर उस मौखिक बयान का पूरा लिखित बयान मिला जहां 35000 करोड़ नहीं बल्कि 35 करोड़ लिखा हुआ था।
